We designed, produced and managed a new asset to educate people about the America’s Cup World Series, giving them an experience to remember and entice them into sailing.
Our fully immersive 4D cinema experience showcased a four-minute film from the perspective of an AC45 catamaran in competition. Visitors watched the film from trampoline catamaran seating, while being sprayed with water and hit by huge gusts of wind.
The experience, designed to arouse the excitement and adrenalin they would get if racing on board an AC45 was created specifically for the 34th America’s Cup World Series. Our Flying on Water experience also included an information zone that told visitors all about the America’s Cup World Series. In nine days over 14,000 visitors sailed the simulated seas through events in Southampton, San Francisco and Cascais in Portugal.
