Travelling across six Spanish cities we helped drive engagement and excitement surrounding the NBA by activating a mass participation fan experience, the NBA Zone Spain 2016 presented by BBVA.
Upon entering fans experienced three domed structures, the Locker Room, the NBA Arena and the Digital Lounge. The Locker Room allowed fans to discover the history of the NBA whilst the NBA Arena amazed fans with a projection experience showcasing the excitement of the NBA. The Digital Lounge gave fans the opportunity to engage in a series of digital activations including an LED measure up wall that allowed fans to compare their height with their favorite NBA star, green screens where fans were transported into NBA game situations and touch screens where fans chose their ultimate NBA team.
The Centre Court Show ran throughout each day and included a series of audience participation games, NBA player appearances as well as mascot and dunk team shows. The Kids Zone gave youngsters the opportunity to practice their skills with an NBA coach who ran practice sessions throughout each day.
With a total social reach of 53,044,359, obtaining 111,781,478 social media impressions and attracting over 32,500 attendees, the NBA Zone Spain 2016 was a huge success for the NBA and its partners.
