Sky wanted to promote the new season of Game of Thrones on Sky Atlantic and approached Wasserman to deliver an activation that toured across UK retail centres.
Participants had the opportunity to have their photo taken sitting on the throne itself. Using greenscreen technology we augemented them into the throne room in Westeros. Each participant received an animated photo that was sent via email, and included a unique layer of smoke over the output.
We pre-promoted each visit using digital shopping centre media opportunities, resulting in fans of the fantasy show queuing around the block for a chance to sit upon the Iron Throne and share their digital photos with friends and family on social media.
This memorable experience was amplified by participants sharing their output on social networks. As a result, 3,576 photos were shared on Facebook and 438 photos were tweeted. The tour achieved 35,000+ interactions
