Xbox was looking for an innovative way to increase awareness of their new Forza Motorsport 6 game and champion the realism of the gameplay through a piece of global viral content. Wasserman conceptualized and executed a world first with a race between gamer and professional driver, live on track at Circuit of the Americas.

The global competition commenced online when the demo was released on Xbox Live, pitting the world’s fastest gamers against one another to find the top 20 winners. Those 20 winners were flown to Circuit of the Americas to not only enjoy a Le Mans race weekend, but also battle it out for the ultimate Forza challenge. A race with Benoît Tréluyer, a 3-time 24 hours of Le Mans winner.

The race was captured with over 25 GoPros and beautifully edited to merge the boundaries between virtual and reality. The video went viral over YouTube globally with over 1.5million views, so much so, that Xbox released it in cinemas across the whole of North America.
